I really like the idea of a new UI. The new interface gives the game the atmosphere it deserves. Broot did a good job! Although, I would like to give some sugestions about it.
The icons are too small i guess, so is the central pannel. It does not fill the gaps in my monitor. What do you think?

Played my first game today in 3 months, I recall that we had tested this ui in the past, and nobody really liked it. Other than that, completely agreed. Suggest total revert to default sc2 ui

Icons are way to small, any body starting to play KT would spend all their time just trying to find out how to cook food.. There is a Major bug in version 1.117, in Fortress Mode you can't enter the fort anymore, so if you upgrade to say an infirmary you cant use it. The day/night clock is just annoying, it distracts you as you are playing and you cant see the time of day status bar unless you move the pointer over it. In AI elite mode I have had up to 4 out of 5 AI's eaten by wolves and this has never happened in previous versions. Night of the dead mode is still not working and you cant tame pets anymore. Please revert to the old interface and fix the bugs!!!

The problem with the icons beeing too small/gaps not filled is different screen resolution. I assume Broot works with a 1024x720 screen, in which case the UI would completely reach from one side of the screen to the other with no gaps inbetween. Since most of us have a full HD screen, there is a lot of unused space and the whole UI just looks too small. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to scale the UI accordingly, so if the UI would be adjusted to full HD screens, it would overlap on smaller screens. Probably the only option is to add a manual option to re-scale the UI, something that was tested a few months ago, as distro mentioned. ktr253: I don't know what you mean by "you can't see the time of day status bar unless you move the pointer over it"? I don't have any problem with that. Of course you don't see the exact time (in seconds) unless you move your cursor over it, but it was the same with the old UI. I know I'm biased in this case, because I was helping with the prototype of the new UI, but I do think it's a step in the right direction. What I'm missing mostly though are any real improvements compared to the old UI. So far, it's pretty much just a visual rework. Maybe it'd be worth adding some features first so people might accept to readjust where to look and click (something that I'm sure would only take a few days, but still...). I'm working on a video showcasing some of those potential features for a portfolio I'm currently making, it's lucky coincidence that the UI topic seems to be relevant again.

Lorenor thanks for the reply. The day/night orb is in your line of site. You need to focus on it in order to clearly see the status bar going around it. In a "fight" its a distraction, although it conveys important information, its not critical. It would serve a player better if it were off to one side. This also applies to the the Health and Energy icon with the picture of the Kobold and 2 status bars. Interesting graphic, but the Hit point/Energy numbers are far more important. They should be prominently displayed and larger if possible. Other stats like warmth, hunger, stamina information that is critical should be laid out left to right and not up and down. This I believe allows for quicker recognition and during a "fight" its critical. Please, this is not a bitching forum, I have just played the game more than 1000 times (I really like it). Also if I may make a suggestion, instead of requiring 2 artifacts to summon the demon lord, why not make it a quest like the fishing expedition or the frost witch. Give it a time limit but turn the demon loose. Keep up the great work!!!!

Lorenor! Thanks for the reply. I apreciate all the work you and Broot have been doing. I personally like the day/night feature. About the UI, yeah, I would like to see a manual option for the screen resolution, I think it would solve the major problems.
I like ktr253 sugestion about the demon lord. Right now it does not have any useful role in actual gameplay.
All hail master builder Lorenor!

I was so stumped when this UI change came into effect, it looks great and the feel is perfect, however yeah, I'm having the same issue with everything being so small, I have a giant alienware laptop, so I'm having to memorize my keys instead of looking for the right icons, pretty bothersome but somewhat manageable if you're into the habit.

we lost couple of old players, and dozens of new players, due to the NewUI.
If that would like to ask, if it would be possible to make one little checkbox to pick New or Legacy UI, somewhere on the perks menu.
I do not have any problem playing, because I already know the hotkeys. But if I had to learn it once again, I wouldnt stayed in game. Just because how small are the most important icons - I am barely planting any trees. Its very weird - the important icons, and information are either hidden (HP,Level) or too small (Cook,Build,SpellCasting, Hunger/Stamina..,Skills). The most useless ingame icons are Move?,Stop?,Hold?Patrol??,Atack Also I liked it better when the secondary information like Damage,Armor,Physique?,Witality? were more unified, gray,on the left
