It is against the spirit of Kobold Tribes to have Snipers Parapet. The stun and movement lock should be very rare in the game, because there are Stamina, Warmth limitations that dictate the chasing and whatnot. The killing and movement locking potential of the active effect of Snipers Parapet is way out of line. The idea is pretty cool though, so the fix is this;
- When cast, creates the fortification on top of the casting player. Any enemy kobold caught inside will be teleported away next to it, making it unable to trap any enemy team kobolds in. Friendly kobolds who would be caught inside do not teleport out so this can be used to shield allies in the fight.
Alternative other myriad solutions to fixing it include also;
- Make the formation fragile from the inside, maximum of two hits required to destroy the whole formation at once by any hostile kobold trapped inside it.
- Make the formation a 5 or 9 tile barricade, not a whole 3x3 9-tile with the empty tile inside it.
The whole point I am trying to make here is that it is against the spirit of the game, and overboard in its current state. It is mostly being used to take away any fun off fighting kobold-a-kobold style back and forth, simply locking kobolds in and destroying them easily. If for some reason this would be intended, then the duration needs to be massively decreased. The active must be given an energy cost, so casting it with Clairvoyance is harder and Siphon Life is less propable.
There are so many beautiful builds and styles of play but this one ruins them all by being the OP game braking abusive item that should simply not be.
The idea is great, the execution needs SUBDUE TONE DOWN and POLISH and REWORK. I have played over a 1000 KT matches and am very happy with KT New expanding on the original, but some things need to be rethinked and polished before publish! One thing can ruin all the things that are built up beautifully in this incredebly complex and original game! It's like the ecosystem of combat styles in KT is fragile to any imbalances and can be thrown off with things like this and I really beleive this is one such imbalance that has thrown off the PVP aspect of Kobold Tribes into the balance destroyed state.
